Purpose
Primary responsibility for this Business Development Manager is the management of tactical sales activity through the field sales team. Additional responsibility would be in support of strategic activity by the Business Managers related to supplier relations and overall financial governance of the assigned business. In addition the role would be responsible for the development and management of OEM and large multilocation molders

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.

1. Strategic Responsibilities:
a. Managing pipeline process with both sellers and strategic suppliers
b. Organizing and leading training sessions on new product rollouts or strategic focus areas
c. Joint travel with supplier partners to develop target accounts and improve supplier relations
d. Assisting the Business Managers in developing an overall business strategy and plan
e. Drive growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
f. Providing target market intelligence to the sales team and Business Managers

2. Essential Tasks:
a. Assisting field sales in identifying and closing target opportunities which will generate organic volume growth; this includes travel to participate in customer meetings
b. Working with the Business Managers and Technical Service to match products and suppliers with sales opportunities
c. Coordinating technical service in support of new business
d. Updating CRM tools to ensure pipeline is robust and sustainable
e. Using target information to build a business plan for sales in each sales territory
f. Responsible for the development and growth of the portfolio
g. Assist with growing branded business with CPA
h. Work with CPA Business Development Manager’s to increase product exposure
i. Funnel all opportunities to appropriate distribution team

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

1. Education:
a. Bachelors degree or related training. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.

2. Experience:
a. Proven experience with 5+ years of experience in selling, brand management and strategy development in polymers preferred

3. Licenses / Certifications:
a. Valid driver’s license – required

4. Language:
a. Proficiency in English required
b. Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
