Business Development Manager- finance Experience

BDM will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and closing new strategic partnerships and client accounts. You will bridge the gap between our financial products/services and the specific fiscal needs of our target market. Your goal is to drive long-term institutional growth through a consultative, data-driven sales approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Prospecting: Identify and penetrate new market segments, including institutional investors, HNWIs, or corporate finance departments.
  • Consultative Selling: Analyze prospective clients' financial statements and goals to propose tailored solutions (e.g., liquidity management, investment vehicles, or SaaS financial tools).
  • Pipeline Management: Manage the full sales lifecycle from initial outreach and "discovery" calls to complex contract negotiations and closing.
  • Stakeholder Management: Navigate complex organizational structures to reach key decision-makers (CFOs, Treasurers, and Partners).
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of FinTech trends, interest rate shifts, and regulatory changes (SEC, FINRA, GDPR, etc.) to position our firm as a thought leader.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the Product and Underwriting teams to ensure client feedback is integrated into our service evolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of B2B sales experience specifically within Financial Services, Fintech, or Professional Services.
  • Financial Literacy: Strong ability to interpret financial data, understand market cycles, and explain complex fiscal concepts simply.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business; an MBA or CFA/CPA designation is a significant plus.
