Business Development Manager - Groundwater
The Business Development Manager has responsibility for managing the sales activities and channels of sale of DAB Pumps products within the Pump/Well/Groundwater markets. The BDM will foster relationships and provide training support to distributors, internal DAB sales and marketing teams, and manufacturer representatives to achieve internal sales goals.
The ideal candidate will live within proximity to a major airport within the Midwest or Eastern U.S.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct Pump/Well/Groundwater manufacturers' representatives
- Develop sales and strategic action plans for assigned accounts
- Build, maintain, and manage direct contact and effective working relationships at all levels with key decision-makers and influencing parties at assigned accounts
- Create product forecasts for the assigned region and accounts
- Assist in collecting past-due accounts
- Work with DAB Training staff to coordinate trainings
- Explain the DAB Proven Process and Unique Propositions
- Keep up to date with current and upcoming market conditions and product requirements
- Develops maintain, and manage the proper sales channels that provide access to customers and aligns with the established market sales strategy.
- Build and maintain profiles for clients, including key accounts, contractors, and end users
- Recommend improvements to the product line, new additions, and other areas that may need input
- Assist in resolving technical and commercial issues with customers
- Strive to meet or exceed the annual sales forecast
- Attend key trade shows and functions
Competencies & Skills
- Knowledge of sales channels – distribution, contractor, end-user, specifying engineers, etc.
- Familiarity with the technical and feature advantages of DAB products
- Knowledge of pump systems, products, applications, specifications, mechanical/plumbing contractors, and wholesale distribution
- Knowledge of standard pricing and price models
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented
- Advanced professional sales and self-management skills
- Excellent administrative and people skills
- Can work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Have good oral and written communication and PC skills
Education & Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in B2B marketing & sales
- Experience with pumps, plumbing, ground water drilling, water treatment, irrigation, rainwater, pool/pond, sewage

Pay: $120,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
