You lead new business opportunities in right store opportunities in white space retail environments. You use your deep understanding of our categories and brands to sell to new customers and to expand current customers’ portfolios. In this role, you develop promotional pricing structures to fit with customer needs.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Responsible for developing and successfully implementing the commercial plan strengthen and expand Mondelēz International’s position with and assigned customer by preparing, negotiating and executing the business plans
  • Responsible for the coordination between the customer and Mondelēz International internal functions
  • Accountable for maintaining and developing strategic growth plans for customers with a focus on portfolio management, listings, distribution and effective promotion and visibility
  • Build and develop strong category partnerships
  • Manage pricing within the Gross to Net Framework, Assortment management, Forecast accuracy in conjunction with supply chain function
  • Together with cross functional colleagues evaluate, plan & execute appropriate promotional and in store visibility
  • Monitor, analyze and report on market developments and competitor developments

Travel Requirement: Up to 40% regional travel ( all tier1cities, tier 2 cities Airports and Maldives and Columbo) as required

Job Profile Summary

As Business Development Manager for this fast-growing region, you will lead commercial strategy and execution across some of our most important accounts. You will be responsible for shaping and driving joint business plans, expanding distribution, and enhancing in-store visibility in a highly competitive and dynamic environment.

You will work in close partnership with cross-functional colleagues across the globe, helping to reinforce Mondelēz World Travel Retail’s leadership position as category captain in confectionery.

You will:

  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy and customer plans to drive growth and visibility across the region.
  • Be the key liaison between ISC travel retail customers and Mondelēz World Travel Retail internal functions (Category, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing).
  • Build strong strategic partnerships with key accounts.
  • Lead the full commercial calendar including product listings, distribution growth, pricing strategies, visibility planning, and trade marketing initiatives.
  • Own the forecasting, trade investment planning, and Gross-to-Net management in partnership with Customer Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain teams.
  • Drive retail excellence and category thought leadership in line with Mondelēz’s global standards.
  • Track, report, and act on competitive activity, regional market dynamics, and consumer trends to continuously optimise business performance.

What you will bring

  • Strong experience in international Key Account Management or Travel Retail
  • A track record of building senior-level customer partnerships and delivering results in diverse and fast-paced markets
  • Deep understanding of category management, joint business planning, and retail execution
  • Strong commercial acumen including pricing, promotions, forecasting, and P&L management
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional regional languages are a plus
  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and remotely across different geographies and cultures

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
