About the Role

The Business Development Manager will drive sales growth by developing new business opportunities and managing client relationships across architects, designers, developers, hoteliers, and contractors.


This role covers the complete sales cycle from specification and proposal through to negotiation, delivery, and completion ensuring Sanipex Group is the supplier of choice for ironmongery and hardware solutions.


Acting as the first point of contact for stakeholders, the BDM will build trust, deliver exceptional service, and maximise opportunities across the sales pipeline.


  • Identify and secure new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Achieve assigned sales, contribution margin, and order intake targets.
  • Network proactively within the A&D community, developers, and contractors to position Sanipex Group as a preferred supplier.
  • Support stakeholders at design stage with indicative budget pricing and specification proposals.
  • Present alternative product options aligned with budget and design requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits to maintain visibility, strengthen relationships, and support project delivery.
  • Lead price negotiations and manage commercial aspects of contracts through to final payment.
  • Oversee technical submittals, approvals, and compliance, collaborating with internal teams to maximise success.
  • Ensure competitive and commercially sound quotations and proposals are prepared and delivered on time.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date pipeline information in Sanipex Eye (CRM), including opportunity close dates and project status.
  • Provide timely, professional responses to all customer enquiries and ensure internal coordination with support departments.
  • Build and maintain strong product knowledge across the ironmongery and hardware portfolio.
  • Stay up to date on market trends, competitor offerings, and project opportunities to ensure competitive advantage.


About You

  • Degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred but not essential.
  • Proven track record in technical sales or business development within the building materials sector; ironmongery and hardware expertise are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Commercially astute with an understanding of pricing, margins, and project-based business.
  • Strong relationship builder, confident in engaging with senior stakeholders across the project value chain.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple opportunities under pressure.
  • Team player with a hands-on approach and proactive mindset.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office, ERP systems an advantage).
  • International outlook with an appreciation of multicultural business environments; Middle East experience preferred.
