Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new sales opportunities and building client relationships within the domains of IT Managed Services and IT Infrastructure solutions. The role includes strategic planning, market research, and proactive engagement with key stakeholders to generate leads, secure deals, and support revenue growth targets.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:1. Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for IT Managed Services, AMC, IT consulting, and IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, security, cloud).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in SMEs, enterprises, and public sector organizations.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the organization.
- Prepare and deliver client-specific proposals and presentations.
2. Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients.
- Understand customer requirements and align solutions that best address their IT and business challenges.
- Maintain post-sale engagement to ensure client satisfaction and explore up-selling or cross-selling opportunities.
3. Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence
- Research industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings to shape sales strategy.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and campaigns in coordination with marketing and technical teams.
- Provide feedback on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
4. Coordination & Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams – Pre-Sales, Technical, Support, and Project Management – to ensure client expectations are met.
5. Proposal Development & Contract Closure
- Coordinate RFP/RFQ responses, solution demos, pricing negotiations, and contract discussions.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools and regularly update sales progress reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5–8 years of proven experience in B2B sales, with a focus on IT Managed Services or IT Infrastructure Solutions.
- Strong knowledge of IT services including IT Infrastructure, AMC, IT support, remote monitoring, cybersecurity, networking, and cloud services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles.
- Familiarity with CRM software, proposal tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
