Job Description:

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to own lead conversion and drive new business for our software services practice. This role is responsible for turning qualified leads into revenue and building new opportunities through partnerships, referrals, and outbound initiatives. The ideal candidate understands how to sell custom software solutions and knows the difference between chasing deals and closing the right ones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Convert qualified inbound leads into signed software development contracts.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from discovery to deal closure.
  • Understand client business problems and translate them into software and cloud solutions with support from technical teams.
  • Prepare proposals, pricing, scopes, and commercial terms.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals independently.
  • Develop new business through partnerships, referrals, and direct outreach beyond inbound leads.
  • Maintain a strong and accurate sales pipeline and revenue forecast.
  • Collaborate with pre sales and delivery teams to ensure smooth handover and realistic commitments.

Requirements:

  • 5 plus years of experience in business development or sales within software services, IT consulting, or cloud solutions.
  • Strong understanding of custom software development and project based sales.
  • Confident communication skills with both technical and non technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close mid to large size deals.
  • Self driven, target oriented, and comfortable with accountability.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience selling bespoke software, SaaS, or cloud solutions.
  • Existing network in relevant industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting.
