Job Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) for VMware at Tech Data Advanced Private Limited will be responsible for driving the growth and adoption of VMware solutions within our partner network and end-user base. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, fostering strong relationships, and exceeding sales targets.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic business development plans for VMware products and services to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new partners, and develop existing partner relationships to expand market reach and drive revenue.
- Act as the primary point of contact for VMware-related sales inquiries and opportunities, providing expert guidance and support to partners and customers.
- Collaborate closely with VMware representatives to align sales strategies, leverage joint programs, and ensure a seamless go-to-market approach.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends in the virtualization and cloud computing space.
- Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of VMware solutions to partners and end-users, showcasing their value proposition and benefits.
- Negotiate and close complex deals, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to management.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest VMware product releases, updates, and competitive offerings.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and networking opportunities.
Job Qualifications- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development or sales, specifically within the IT distribution or technology vendor landscape.
- Strong understanding and demonstrable experience with VMware products and solutions (e.g., vSphere, NSX, vSAN, Tanzu, Workspace ONE).
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Relevant VMware certifications (e.g., VCP) are highly desirable.
