We are a growing software house building web and mobile products for clients locally and internationally. We are looking for a hunter-type BDO — someone who thrives on outreach, owns their pipeline, and closes deals independently.
This is not a marketing role. You will be responsible for finding, qualifying, and closing new business. The CTO handles delivery. You handle everything before the project starts.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Identify and reach out to potential clients via LinkedIn, Upwork, referrals, cold email, and in-person networking
- Qualify leads based on budget, timeline, and project fit before involving the CTO
- Present the company, our work, and capabilities in meetings and on calls
- Send customised proposals using our templates — tailored, not copy-paste
- Follow up persistently until a deal closes or is clearly lost
- Negotiate project scope and pricing within defined boundaries
- Maintain a live pipeline tracker — updated weekly, reviewed with the founder
- Build long-term client relationships to generate repeat and referral business
- Attend local business events, meetups, and startup nights to generate leads
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience — IT services, agency, or SaaS preferred
- Proven track record of closing deals, not just generating leads
- Strong spoken and written English — international clients will be on your pipeline
- Comfortable with WhatsApp, LinkedIn, video calls, and in-person meetings
- Self-starter who does not need daily hand-holding to stay productive
- Basic understanding of software projects — you must understand what we sell
- Resilient under rejection — this is outbound sales, not order-taking
- Honest about pipeline status — no inflated forecasts
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Upwork agency profiles or freelance platforms
- Existing network of business owners or startup founders in Karachi
- Prior experience selling to UK, US, or Australian clients remotely
- Familiarity with CRM tools (even spreadsheet-based ones)
