Business Development / Project Acquisition Specialist (Software Development Projects)

We are seeking a highly motivated and result-driven Business Development / Project Acquisition Specialist with hands-on experience in acquiring software development projects across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, bidding on projects, and securing contracts from global clients through various freelancing and enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and acquire new software development projects from platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer, LinkedIn, and direct client networks.
  • Prepare and submit winning proposals, bids, and quotations for software development projects.
  • Actively engage with potential clients to understand project requirements and convert leads into long-term business opportunities.
  • Maintain and manage profiles on freelance and B2B platforms to maximize visibility and project acquisition.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure accurate understanding of client requirements and successful project closure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients for repeat business and referrals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to improve win rates.
  • Ensure consistent pipeline of software development projects (web, mobile, SaaS, and custom solutions).
  • Negotiate project terms, pricing, and delivery timelines with clients.
  • Work closely with management to achieve monthly and quarterly business acquisition targets.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in securing software development projects from freelancing platforms or direct clients.
  • Strong understanding of IT services including web development, mobile apps, SaaS, and custom software solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer, LinkedIn, or similar marketplaces.
  • Excellent proposal writing, bidding, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to convert leads into confirmed projects independently.
  • Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field.
  • Prior experience in IT sales, outsourcing, or software agency business development.
  • Existing client network in international markets is highly preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Number of projects acquired per month
  • Conversion rate of proposals to closed deals
  • Monthly revenue generated from acquired projects
  • Client retention and repeat business rate

Pay: From Rs70,000.00 per month
