Business Development Representative

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Business Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team! In this role, you will drive growth through extensive prospecting focused on identifying, qualifying, developing, and closing deals with businesses looking to lease IT equipment. Your strategic approach and excellent communication skills will help us build lasting relationships and achieve ambitious sales goals. Duties

  • Meet or exceed sales quotas by acquiring & maintaining relationships with customers in need of IT (hardware & software) equipment financing.
  • Engage potential clients via calls, emails, social media, and meetings to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
  • Drive, manage, and maintain a consistent pipeline of new end-user clients and vendor partners using various tools and resources.
  • Communicate our solution, value proposition, and TCO analytics effectively to the potential end-user and partner prospects.
  • Structure our core lease offerings based on deal landscape, competition, asset classes, and client credit quality.
  • Effectively utilize, track, and report on business development efforts in our CRM software.
  • Deliver presentation decks to end users virtually or in-person, with manager &/or marketing support as needed.
  • Manage personally generated clients and drive additional lease business with them across all asset classes.
  • Develop & maintain positive working relationships with colleagues from other departments (Credit, Portfolio, Contracts, etc.).
  • Be a key driver in ensuring a great experience for our clients

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, with a minimum of two (2) years of outbound end-user prospecting for businesses looking to lease IT &/or Automation equipment.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies and negotiation techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build rapport quickly & professionally.
  • Prior experience working with CRM software and marketing tools is a plus.
  • Previous experience within the equipment leasing industry strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing & able to travel as needed to meet clients/prospects, attend trade shows, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree (in business, finance, or related field) preferred but not required.
