Business Development Representative

About Ezderm

Ezderm is a high-growth healthcare technology company dedicated to modernizing the dermatology experience. We build intuitive, cloud-based electronic health records (EHR) and practice management solutions that empower providers to focus on what matters most: patient care. Driven by innovation and a culture of resilience, we bridge the gap between complex medical workflows and seamless digital efficiency. At Ezderm, we don’t just provide software; we build the foundational tools that help dermatology practices thrive and scale in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Summary/Objective: The Business Development Representative (BDR) serves as the strategic link between Ezderm’s Marketing and Sales teams. This role is responsible for executing data-driven outreach strategies tied to marketing initiatives — including events, webinars, and content campaigns — while also conducting targeted cold outreach to expand our database of dermatology practices. The BDR’s primary objective is to cultivate high-quality, qualified leads that consistently fuel our sales pipeline and support Ezderm’s continued growth in the dermatology market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Campaign-Based Outreach

  • Execute outbound calling and emailing campaigns aligned with Marketing initiatives, including following up with webinar attendees, event leads, and newsletter subscribers.
  • Articulate the value of Ezderm by referencing the specific content or events a prospect engaged with, creating a personalized and relevant outreach experience.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to Marketing and Sales on which campaigns and messages are generating the best responses, helping refine top-of-funnel strategy.

Prospecting & Research

  • Identify and research new dermatology practices not currently in our system, ensuring Ezderm’s database is constantly growing with fresh, qualified opportunities.
  • Build targeted prospect lists using research tools such as LinkedIn, Google, and industry directories.
  • Verify and maintain accurate contact information to ensure outreach is reaching the right decision-makers at each practice.

Lead Qualification & Pipeline Development

  • Conduct 50+ outbound calls daily to both cold leads and warm marketing leads, maintaining a high level of daily activity and outreach.
  • Qualify prospects by identifying their current technology stack, pain points, and readiness to evaluate a new EHR solution.
  • Schedule qualified meetings for the Sales team, ensuring smooth hand-offs and accurate documentation in CRM.
  • Manage time efficiently in a remote environment and consistently work toward hitting daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Ezderm’s client success.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a Business Development, Sales Development, or Lead Generation role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding call and appointment quotas.
  • Experience building and managing prospect lists from scratch using research tools.
  • Comfortable bypassing gatekeepers, handling objections, and identifying the right decision-maker at each practice.
  • Skilled at internet research to surface new clinic contacts and details that others miss.
  • Ability to align outreach messaging with broader company branding and marketing initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to personalize outreach at scale.
  • Experience with CRM software, including Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Familiarity with prospecting tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or Clay.
  • Background in Healthcare, SaaS, or experience selling to medical practices.
  • Knowledge of or interest in the dermatology or healthcare IT space.
  • Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and organizational skills.
