The Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building strategic relationships, and driving revenue through new and existing business channels. This role focuses on market research, lead generation, partnership development, and close collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and outreach.
- Generate and qualify leads to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospects, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and business cases to potential clients.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align growth strategies.
- Track business development activities and maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to inform strategy.
- Support contract negotiations and onboarding of new clients or partners.
- Monitor performance metrics and report on business development outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using CRM and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B or SaaS environments.
- Knowledge of sales funnels, partnerships, and revenue models.
- Familiarity with market analysis and strategic planning.
- Experience with proposal writing and contract discussions.
