Business Director - Digital

Overview

We are currently recruiting a Business Director for one of our key clients - a top-tier integrated marketing and communications agency with a strong presence in the region. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in leading their Riyadh operations, driving growth, managing a high-performing team, and ensuring top-tier delivery across creative, strategy, media, and engagement functions.

About the Role

The Business Director will act as the strategic lead for the agency's Riyadh hub. This role requires a unique mix of commercial acumen, digital expertise, and leadership skills. You will be responsible for nurturing client relationships, overseeing delivery teams, managing profitability, and helping the agency stay ahead in a fast-evolving market.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior clients
  • Lead strategic discussions, campaign planning, and performance reviews
  • Ensure client satisfaction and long-term relationship growth
Business Development
  • Identify and pursue opportunities within current and new sectors (government, semi-government, digital-first)
  • Lead RFP responses, pitch development, and commercial negotiations
  • Collaborate with leadership on high-value business strategies
Team Management
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team covering:
  • Account Management
  • Creative (Art, Copy, Motion)
  • Media (Digital & Search)
  • Social & CRM
  • Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, development, and resource planning
Commercial Oversight
  • Own the P&L and ensure financial health of the Riyadh operation
  • Drive organic growth and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities
  • Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and reporting
Digital & Strategic Fluency
  • Understand app-based business needs (e.g. user acquisition, retention, performance optimization)
  • Use data and insights to inform marketing and brand strategy
  • Collaborate closely with product, media, and UX teams to deliver integrated campaigns
Agency Culture & Representation
  • Represent the agency's values and creative standards
  • Support leadership initiatives, transformation programs, and operational improvement
Key Qualifications
  • Proven experience in integrated marketing or advertising (agency-side preferred)
  • Strong leadership capabilities across multidisciplinary teams
  • Commercially minded with financial management experience (P&L, budgeting, forecasting)
  • Digital-first mindset and understanding of platform-based businesses
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (a must)
