Position Summary:
Leader of all processes related to discovery, prioritization, and execution of continuous improvement and cost savings projects for a site or large department. Trusted consultant, facilitator, and coach to site-leadership, peers, and hourly associates. Project and program management expert with clear mastery of green belt lean systems tools, with the ability to lead an organization through execution and sustainment. Learn-by-doing teacher with a bias for action and direct accountability to respective site results. Expected to support multiple sites on key projects, tools, or initiatives as needed for personal and company development in our operational excellence journey.

Owns the site's continuous improvement roadmap and culture development with strong dotted-line responsibility to the site leader

Models behavior expected of the team – creator of vision, purpose, and measurement against perfection, not budgets or historical performance

Directly leads the roll-out and implementation of chosen Lean-based tools consistent with Pharmavite Operational Excellence Vitality System.

Manages and measures work; lays out and executes clear strategies for project & change management

Leads site cost/inventory/improvement savings, development, and adherence to prioritization and tracking.

Partners with finance and industrial engineering organizations on developing approaches to improve understanding of losses and waste consistent with the Zero-Based Analysis approach

Supports analysis of operational and financial performance and translates the information into meaningful metrics, feedback, and action

Acts as a guide for consistent Daily Operations approach across facilities, including: Review and response for corrective actions as part of daily meetings, shift handoff, and action item creation (PDCA).

Champions and partners with plant management to engage the hourly workforce in driving daily improvements

Creates an energizing work environment that supports the Company’s high-performance culture while ensuring an efficient and flexible organization

Effective communicator across levels; motivator of hourly employees who can manage vision and purpose as the operational excellence champion for the site
Education:
-
Requires a four-year college or university degree in supply chain, engineering, accounting, or chemistry/biology or related field or equivalent (3-5 years) operational excellence / continuous improvement relevant experience.
Certification:
-
Dependent on site needs and current state in organizational roadmap – various certifications and/or implementation experiences may be relevant and/or required. Green belt or higher experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma is required.
Experience:
-
Requires two to three years of post-collegiate work experience minimum
-
Plant or warehouse experience in a strong, continuous improvement environment
-
Implementation experience of key Lean/TPM continuous improvement tools
-
Demonstrated experience managing complex projects through implementation
-
Prior training experience
-
Prefer consumer product goods (CPG) or high-speed, repetitive manufacturing experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
-
Lean Systems Green Belt skills, including value stream mapping and design, visual management, 5S, SMED / rapid changeover, standard work/flow, cell/model cell, 3P (production preparation process), jidoka, poka yoke, business process mapping / lean office.

Strong Project Management skills

Leadership, not just a participant, of Kaizen/Improvement Events

Ability to manage via influence at all levels of the organization

Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and schedule multiple tasks with minimal supervision and adjust to changing priorities and assignments

Ability to create, cultivate, and manage vision and purpose – not just tactical execution

Solid proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Visio, Word,& PowerPoint. Power BI development experience preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information across levels

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Must have a base financial acumen; prefer understanding of basic fundamentals of activity-based cost accounting and P&L 101 level experience

Prefer working knowledge of ERP (preferably JDE and/or Oracle-based tools)

Bilingual (English/Spanish) language skills are highly valued but not required in all site roles
Physical Requirements:

General office and plant environment, ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Full range of mobility to participate in continuous improvement activities out in the plant environment, working with equipment and operators across shifts.
Environment:

Exposure to disagreeable elements is expected at times while working in an operating environment as part of the role. Frequent driving between locations is expected as needed. Travel up to 15% of the time to out-of-state sites may be required.

The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely without endangering their own or others' health or safety.
Supervisory Responsibility:

The incumbent has a significant influence role at the facility, so they must have proven leadership skills and be able to quickly garner the respect of leaders, peers, and hourly associates. Will be expected to lead projects across different functional areas without formal position leadership responsibility.

National Target Base Pay Range: $78,000.00 - $128,000.00.
The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and the New York metro, the Target Base Pay Range is $86,000.00 - $142,000.00, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas.
Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.
