Job Title - Business Head
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for State Head for Andhra Pradesh to build our markets in deep Rural and strengthen our Distribution channel of Rural Women Entrepreneurs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Sales / FMCG channel operations / sales target achievement, along with a deep understanding of local culture and etiquette, especially in engaging with women stakeholders. This role requires the ability to recruit, train, and motivate field teams to achieve ambitious Sales targets.
Candidates should be able to:
1. Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets through effective market planning and execution as well as parallelly complete the projects on time
2. Recruit, train, and manage field staff to ensure performance excellence
3. Identify, recruit, onboard, train and retain women entrepreneurs in rural areas
4. Activate and expand markets through structured area development strategies
5. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth project implementation
6. Build and maintain relationships with local administrative bodies, SHGs, and community leaders
Role Description
1. Strategic Responsibilities
a. Drive State-level revenue and market expansion strategy with clear monthly, quarterly, and annual plans.
b. Own State P&L, ensuring revenue growth, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
c. Strengthen digital adoption of organizations platforms among field teams and rural women entrepreneurs.
d. Implement strong data-driven governance through dashboards, sales analytics, and performance reviews.
e. Lead stakeholder management with Government departments, NGOs, Corporate partners, and ecosystem institutions.
f. Build incentive plans, team motivation structures, and retention frameworks for field teams and entrepreneurs.
2. Entrepreneur Development, Management and Retention
a. Should progressively identify and recruit required number of last mile entrepreneurs and saturate the geography assigned
b. Should support all organizational interventions to develop and groom entrepreneurs during their journey from ‘Agent to Enterprise’
c. Should constantly take proactive measures to reach out to entrepreneurs and counsel them on their current performance and career path.
d. Should periodically organize ‘Entrepreneurship Engagement Events’ to instill a sense of community and reinforce affiliation towards organization.
e. Should ensure that his field team (District Heads/Market Activators/Delivery Staff/Branch Operations) are diligently administering the operational module prescribed for achieving assigned monthly targets
3. Market Intelligence & Product Strategy
a. Should deeply understand local consumer needs and identify fast moving, high-demand products across categories.
b. Should continuously analyze market trends to identify new product opportunities relevant to rural customers.
c. Should conduct comparative analysis of product quality, pricing, and demand patterns across villages and clusters.
d. Should benchmark competitor products and pricing to ensure organization always offers the best value proposition.
4. Procurement & Vendor Management
a. Should identify reliable local and regional suppliers for high-demand goods and negotiate favorable terms.
b. Should evaluate multiple sourcing options and select vendors based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery timelines.
c. Should build a network of suppliers, distributors, and wholesalers to ensure continuous product availability.
d. Should ensure procurement is aligned with field demand forecasts and seasonal variations.
5. Supply Chain & Inventory Management
a. Should have a strong working knowledge of supply chain processes including procurement, warehousing, transportation, and last-mile delivery.
b. Should coordinate closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely replenishment and minimal stock-outs.
c. Should monitor inventory movement, demand fluctuations, and product performance to guide reordering and stocking decisions.
d. Should ensure effective planning to minimize logistics costs while maintaining service levels.
e. Should assess product performance at SKU level and make informed decisions on pricing, promotions, and bundling strategies.
6. Team management
a. Should capably manage team of frontlines spread across multiple branches
b. Should work towards inducing a culture of performance, execution excellence, collaboration.
c. Should proactively coordinate with other functions in Head Office to get required support for executing the company strategies.
QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Graduate/Post Graduate in Business, Rural Development or related field from reputed Institute (e.g. IIFM/TISS/IRMA/XIMB etc) with 5+ years of total experience .
2. Young (aged: 25-35 years) with a never-give-up attitude .
3. Fluency in written/speaking/writing of local language (Telugu & English) is a must
4. Prior experience working with in is an advantage .
5. Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories
6. Extremely proficient in MS Office suite (Excel/Word/Powerpoint) .
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹1,200,000.00 per year
