Business Immigration Attorney (NYC - HYBRID REMOTE)

We are a reputable 6-attorney Immigration Law Firm located in Lower Manhattan, NY, seeking a dedicated Business Immigration Law Attorney to join our team. If you’re passionate about immigration law and eager to grow in a supportive, dynamic environment, we want to hear from you! (We prefer "in office" but experienced candidates can work hybrid remote).

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate Attorney to join our team, specializing in business immigration and driving business development initiatives. We want you to network and help generate business (business immigration clients) to help our firm expand and earn you additional income through biz dev efforts, on top of your salary!

Should have experience with some of these BUSINESS Immigration Law sub-areas:

• Temporary Work Visas (Nonimmigrant)

– H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, E-1/E-2, H-2B, etc.

• Employment-Based Green Cards (Immigrant)

– EB-1, EB-2 (incl. NIW), EB-3, EB-4, EB-5 Investor.

• Investor & Entrepreneur Immigration

– E-2 Treaty Investors, EB-5 Program, Startup & Entrepreneur visas.

• Corporate Immigration Compliance

– I-9 verification, E-Verify, PERM labor certification, audits, and enforcement defense.

• Immigration Litigation & Enforcement Defense

– Challenging denials, federal court litigation, employer defense in audits.

• Naturalization & Long-Term Planning for Executives

– Pathways from temporary work to permanent residency and citizenship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement business development strategies to attract new clients and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for firm growth, including networking, marketing, and speaking engagements.
• Collaborate with firm partners to enhance service offerings and ensure exceptional client satisfaction.
• Provide strategic counsel to corporate clients on immigration compliance, workforce planning, and global mobility.
• Stay current on immigration laws, policies, and trends to provide cutting-edge advice to clients.

Requirements:

• Experience: At least 2 years of BUSINESS Immigration Law experience.
• Must live in NY or NJ (but can be admitted to practice in any U.S. State)
• Proven success in business development, including client acquisition and relationship management.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• PREFERRED: established network of corporate clients or industry contacts.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $100,000 to $120,000 (commensurate with experience).
• Commissions: Part of your role is to generate and develop business immigration clients so you'll receive a negotiable % of the attorney's fees on all cases you generate for the firm.
