Business Instructor

BTEC Business Instructor

Education Pathways is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated BTEC Level 3 & 4 Business Instructor to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessments to students enrolled in the Pearson BTEC Level 3 & 4 Business program. The ideal instructor will be able to inspire students, guide them in developing their business knowledge and skills, and prepare them for higher education or the professional world.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the Pearson BTEC Level 3 & 4 Business curriculum.

· Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.

· Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and engagement.

· Support students with coursework, assignments, and projects, ensuring they meet BTEC assessment criteria.

· Participate in the assessment cycle by grading student work, participating in the internal verification process and sharing feedback with students.

· Provide pastoral and academic support to help students achieve their full potential.

· Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessment results.

· Prepare students for assessments and coursework-based evaluations.

· Liaise with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to support student development.

· Stay up to date with educational best practices, industry trends, and BTEC policies.

· Participate in department meetings, and extracurricular activities as required.

Qualifications and Skills

Required

· Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field from a reputable Western university.

· Post graduate degree in business or a related field.

· A recognized qualification in vocational education and training.

· Knowledge of business concepts, including marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, project and human resources management.

· Experience teaching BTEC Level 3 & 4 Business or similar vocational qualifications.

· Strong familiarity with BTEC assessment criteria, internal verification, and quality assurance processes.

· Skilled in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and student engagement.

· Ability to assess performance and provide constructive feedback.

· Online teaching experience.

· Relevant work experience in the business sector.

· Strong communication, interpersonal, and digital literacy skills.

· Excellent organisation and time management skills.

· Integrity and adaptability.

· English language proficiency (IELTS 7 or equivalent).

· Passionate about teaching with the ability to inspire and motivate students.

Desirable

· Teaching Certification such as a Bachelor of Education degree or a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) / Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) with a specialization in Business.

· Vocational Assessor Qualification (AVA or similar).
