Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst

Timings: 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM (Monday to Friday)
Location: SMCHS, Block B, Karachi

Role & Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to deliver accurate and actionable business insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
• Extract, clean, transform, and load data from various sources using Power Query, Power BI Dataflows, SQL, and Excel.
• Design, optimize, and maintain Power BI semantic models to ensure performance, scalability, and adherence to industry best practices.
• Build and support ETL/ELT processes using Power Query, Dataflows, and other Microsoft BI tools for data integration.
• Use advanced Excel skills (formulas, Power Query, PivotTables) for data preparation and validation.
• Assist the Solutions Architect in preparing high-quality, structured datasets aligned with business requirements.
• Stay updated with BI trends, Power BI advancements, data modeling standards, and RPA technologies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and BI performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a BI Analyst, Power BI Developer, or in a similar data-focused role.
• Strong understanding of BI concepts, dashboard design principles, and data modeling techniques (DAX & M language).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and Power Query.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of data integration methods (APIs, flat files, cloud-based sources).

Skill Set:

• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, M Query, Dataflows, dashboard design, performance optimization).
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and understanding of relational data structures.
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple tasks effectively.
