Founded in 1977, the company operates from a 150,000 square foot manufacturing and roasting facility, more than 2 million pounds of green coffee storage facility, 50 million pounds annually of coffee roasting capacity as well as multiple roasting lines, flavor mixing systems and 14 automated packaging lines.

WAGE RANGE (EXEMPT): $85,000 - $90,000 annually

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data analytics and reporting solutions that support operational, financial, and strategic decision-making within a manufacturing environment. This role will leverage Power BI and related technologies to transform raw data into meaningful insights across production, supply chain, inventory, quality, and financial performance.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in data modeling and visualization with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, KPIs, and ERP systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Build and manage robust data models using Power Query, DAX, and SQL.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and visualizations.
- Develop standardized KPI reporting for manufacturing operations, supply chain, and finance.
Manufacturing & Operations Analytics
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to analyze:
- Production efficiency (OEE, throughput, downtime)
- Yield and waste metrics
- Labor productivity
- Inventory turns and accuracy
- Cost of goods manufactured (COGM)
- Support variance analysis related to production, materials usage, and labor.
- Assist in demand planning, capacity planning, and performance forecasting.
Data Management & Integration
- Extract and transform data from ERP, MES, WMS, and other operational systems.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across reporting platforms.
- Develop and maintain data documentation and governance standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements in data collection and reporting.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, Operations, IT, Supply Chain and Executive Leadership to identify reporting needs.
- Present insights and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Train end-users on dashboard utilization and data interpretation.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting roles.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query).
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.
Manufacturing Knowledge
- Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs (OEE, scrap, yield, cycle time, etc.).
- Understanding of cost accounting principles in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience working with production, inventory, and supply chain data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ETL tools or data integration platforms.
- Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning processes.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
WORK ENVIROMENT AND EQUIPMENT:
- This job is located within the corporate office, in an indoor environment.
- This position may occasionally support work in the warehouse roasting facility that requires constant standing on concrete floors, exposed to loud equipment noise and subject to coffee dust strong odors.
- Personal protection equipment and other Good Manufacturing Practices are mandatory.
