Business Intelligence Analyst Intern

Job Summary

WebstaurantStore, a leading eCommerce provider for food service professionals across the U.S. and Canada, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst Intern to join the Enterprise BI Team and gain hands-on experience in Data Analysis, Dashboard Development, and more general business intelligence areas. This remote internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about Business Intelligence within a fast-growing organization recognized among Pennsylvania’s 50 Fastest Growing Companies.

Interns will work closely with experienced BI Developers and Analysts, gaining exposure to enterprise-level data systems and participating in Agile development practices. This is a paid internship designed to provide meaningful professional development and practical experience in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop a foundational understanding of enterprise data analysis using SQL, Excel, scoping, design, and development.
• Gain hands-on experience with a SQL-based data warehouse, including data modeling, data relationships, and data design.
• Collaborate with BI Developers and Analysts on real-world projects and receive mentorship throughout the internship.
• Participate in Agile team workflows and contribute to a dynamic, team-oriented development environment.

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Remote Work Qualifications

• Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
• Access to a home router and modem.
• A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
• A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
• The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.
• Legal residents of one of the following states: (AK, AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, or WY). H-1B Visa Sponsorship Not Available, W2 only.

Experience

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Data Analysis.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and exposure to relational databases.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
• Must be a Junior or Senior; Freshman and Sophomore applicants will not be considered.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; H1B sponsorship is not available.

Education
