Business Intelligence Analyst - Remote, USA

What You'll Do:
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for delivering high-quality dashboards and certified datasets that enable consistent, data-driven decision-making. This role focuses on reuse, standardization, and self-service analytics, minimizing one-off reporting and manual data preparation. BI Analysts partner closely with business stakeholders while adhering to governance, modeling, and visualization standards. As the organization and data platform mature, this role will evolve to support increased scale, complexity, and cross-functional enablement.
Key Responsibilities
1. BI Development & Reporting
  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports aligned to business needs.
  • Develop and maintain certified datasets and semantic models for reuse.
  • Implement DAX measures and modeling best practices to support self-service analytics.
2. Data Analysis & Insights
  • Perform analytical deep dives to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for business users.
  • Support recurring reporting and standardized performance views.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with business teams to understand reporting requirements.
  • Guide stakeholders toward standardized solutions rather than custom builds.
  • Present insights in a clear, concise, and decision-oriented manner.
4. Governance & Standards
  • Adhere to enterprise data definitions, modeling standards, and certification processes.
  • Support data validation and quality checks within BI outputs.
  • Minimize ad hoc reporting and dashboard sprawl.
  • Participate in refinement of standards as tooling and data maturity evolve.
5. Optimization & Maintenance
  • Optimize Power BI reports and models for performance and usability.
  • Troubleshoot BI issues related to data models, visuals, or refreshes.
  • Maintain documentation for dashboards and datasets.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience
  • 2–4 years in BI, analytics, or reporting roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and SQL.
Technical Skills
  • Strong Power BI development (DAX, Power Query).
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Understanding of dimensional modeling concepts.
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to pass post offer drug test.
Compensation:
  • Exempt position with a salary range of $80,000-$90,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Full-time role.
