Business Loan Portfolio Analyst

Role:
Maintains and organizes company records with reliability and attention to detail, accurately entering data, filing documents, responding to information requests, and preparing reports. Performs all related clerical duties with dedication, focus, and flexibility, supporting team efficiency while fostering lifelong relationships and empowering the financial success of our members.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and complete financial reviews by gathering and organizing required documentation, analyzing personal and financial information, and submitting files for underwriting approval with focus, reliability, and dedication.
  • Monitor and maintain a high-quality loan portfolio by ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and effective account management, fostering trust, long-term member relationships, and stronger communities.
  • Resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally by contacting applicants or relevant parties, applying flexibility and clear communication to maintain smooth loan processing and member satisfaction.
  • Evaluate applicants against Credit Union standards to determine eligibility for further consideration, making reliable, focused decisions that support members’ financial well-being.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned with passion, flexibility, and dedication to support departmental goals and enhance the member experience.

Performance Measurements:

  • Produce accurate and complete mortgage loan documentation, files, and reports, consistently meeting processing, underwriting, and closing deadlines with reliability, focus, and dedication to supporting members’ financial goals.
  • Provide informed, prompt, and accurate service and support to members and colleagues, resolving inquiries efficiently and communicating solutions clearly, while fostering trust and long-term relationships.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of Credit Union loan products, policies, procedures, standards, and applicable state and federal regulations, ensuring compliance and delivering service with passion, reliability, and care.
  • Maintain complete and well-organized files and records, submitting reports accurately and on time, reflecting dedication, attention to detail, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to all Credit Union and government lending standards, consistently applying rules, procedures, and regulations with focus and integrity to protect members and the organization.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or equivalent required.
Interpersonal Skills: This role involves frequent personal interaction with colleagues and external partners to resolve issues, build relationships, and encourage collaboration. Conversations often require confidentiality, discretion, and diplomatic communication. The position is approached with passion, reliability, focus, flexibility, and dedication, fostering lifelong relationships that strengthen communities and support the financial success of our members.
Other Skills: Working knowledge of related computer systems and applications.
Work Environment: This role operates in a standard office setting and requires frequent interaction with team members, other departments, and external stakeholders. Because the position handles sensitive and confidential information, a high level of discretion is essential. Daily responsibilities involve regular use of computers and office equipment such as printers and telephones. The work is primarily sedentary, though occasional movement may be needed to retrieve materials or assist with office tasks.
