Position: Business Monitoring & Competitive Advantage (BMCA) Lead-Contract Management


Position Purpose

The BMCA Lead is responsible for driving the strategic vision, implementation, and oversight of business monitoring and competitive advantage initiatives across Axios-supported programs. This role ensures the consistent application of monitoring measures, and performance standards to enhance patient support delivery and optimize access solutions.

The ultimate purpose of this role is to lead, shape, and scale business monitoring frameworks that strengthen Axios’ global access strategy and maximize medical benefits for patients worldwide.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Own contractual governance across all programs and regions, ensuring consistency in interpretation and implementation of contract requirements.
  • Approve operational positions on contracts, amendments, and deviations prior to client engagement or execution.
  • Lead strategic discussions with clients on contractual risks, amendments, renewals, and exit planning.
  • Ensure contract standards align with Axios risk appetite, compliance frameworks, and long-term sustainability objectives.
  • Oversee escalation of contractual risks to executive leadership and drive organization-wide improvements in contract governance.
  • Act as the senior authority for contract interpretation in audits, disputes, and regulatory engagements.
  • Set the strategic direction and priorities for business monitoring and competitive advantage activities across the organization.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous refinement of program monitoring methodologies, dashboards, and quality indicators.
  • Provide strategic insights and advisory support to executive leadership regarding program performance, compliance risks, and access opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely internal and external reporting, including monthly KPIs, quarterly performance reviews, and client audits.
  • Act as a key liaison with pharmaceutical partners and high-level stakeholders for strategic alignment on program monitoring, escalation management, and improvement plans.
  • Mentor and manage the BMCA team (Specialists, Coordinators, and Interns), setting objectives, ensuring performance, and enabling career growth.
  • Drive innovation and efficiency by identifying trends, forecasting risk, and implementing automation or technology and process enhancements.
  • Participate in proposal development, SOP design, and monitoring tool creation to support new programs or global expansion.
  • Attend and complete all required trainings provided by the pharmaceutical companies, including Pharmacovigilance and Product Training, with a clear understanding of how to collect and report safety data.
  • Lead audit readiness efforts, supporting both internal and third-party audits, and ensuring all actions are tracked to closure.
  • Support strategic business reviews and participate in access strategy planning with the wider leadership team.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, data quality, and compliance throughout the organization.
  • Ensure a strong understanding and consistent implementation of international standards and applicable policies related to Axios’ service offerings.
  • Oversee compliance with all relevant local laws, regulations, industry codes, and Axios’ internal Code of Conduct.
  • Promote and empower a proactive culture of escalation related to deviations, non-compliance, and potential risks—ensuring timely reporting and corrective action planning.
  • Lead monitoring activities to maintain operational integrity across all Axios-supported programs.
  • Represent the BMCA function in senior-level internal and external forums.

Educational Background and Experience



  • At least 2-5 years of professional experience in healthcare sector is ideal

  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent networking skills

  • Experience in data monitoring and management is an advantage

  • Experience coordinating and handling logistics/supply chain is a plus

  • Experience in communication service management


Job Circumstances



  • The position is based in our regional office and may require frequent travel to other locations, including offices outside your designated region, as needed.

  • Flexibility in ability to travel as well as working hours is essential.
