The Business Office Manager assists the Executive Director in ensuring all operational areas of the community are supported and running efficiently.
This position is primarily responsible for overseeing accounting, bookkeeping, payroll coordination, and administrative functions, while supporting the overall success of the community.
Manage billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
Maintain accurate financial records and reporting
Support budget tracking and expense management
Assist with onboarding, personnel files, and HR documentation
Support payroll processes and timekeeping accuracy
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Partner with the Executive Director on day-to-day operations
Serve as a point of contact for residents, families, and staff regarding billing and administrative matters
Maintain organized systems and efficient office processes
Provide professional, timely communication
Handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
Previous experience in Business Office Manager, accounting, or administrative leadership role required
HR or payroll experience strongly preferred
Senior living, healthcare, or service industry experience preferred
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and financial processes
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and office systems
Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to sit for extended periods
Occasional lifting of 1–20 pounds
Ability to move throughout the community as needed
