Description of the Work Unit: CEMML is a research, education, and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at CSU. CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DoD) and other public lands. We provide technical support, conduct applied research, and offer career development and learning opportunities to support resource stewardship. We collaborate with our sponsors and other CSU departments to resolve complex environmental issues, leaving a legacy of science-based decisions that sustain our resources for future generations. Full Consideration Date: 3 June 2026
Serves as a technical expert in areas relevant to the project.
Conducts analysis and develops solutions in the application of information technology for business practice development.
Produces and reviews technical documentation reflecting detailed knowledge of specific technical areas associated with business practice flows within a broad range of environmental program areas.
Recommends measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of product or service, and suggests changes to increase efficiency.

Valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license by the employment start date.
The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by proposed start date; the department will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
Must be able to comply with all applicable regulations to obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) and public trust clearance; required at a minimum to complete a NACI/SF85 and successfully pass a federal background check.
Must hold or be able to obtain Secret Clearance.
Position does not supervise.
B.S. in Computer Science or related degree.
At least five (5) years of experience solving technical problems (or managing the solution of technical problems) within the last eight (8) years.
Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program control, and technical personnel involved in providing services in fulfillment of the agreement.
Demonstrated experience in conducting analysis and developing solutions and in the application of information technology for business practice development.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DOD)/Army plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at the support of software and computer resources for Army systems.
Demonstrated experience providing solutions for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures.
Demonstrated experience providing recommendations for resolution of technical problems.
Holds Certified Scrum Master, Project Management Professions, and/or Six Sigma certification.
Experience with SharePoint Online, Power Apps, and/or other data visualization programs
