Job Description

The Clinics Business Promotions Lead is responsible for oversight and coordination of all marketing and promotions for the Kasiska Division of Health Sciences (KDHS) health clinics at both the Pocatello and Meridian campuses and pharmacies across the state. The Clinics Business Promotions Lead will work closely with the KDHS Marketing Lead and Communications Lead to create a multi-faceted and cohesive marketing strategy for all KDHS public-serving health clinics and pharmacies with an enhanced focus on growing patient visits and revenue generation while supporting student learning and training opportunities.

This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.

Key Responsibilities


  • Support student learning and training opportunities by building audience awareness of and engagement with KDHS health clinics and pharmacies to increase patient visits and revenue generation.
  • Understand the nuances and challenges faced by each clinic, pharmacy, and the departments or programs that support them within the KDHS, in order to provide direction for marketing and patient recruitment strategies.
  • Maintain and grow ISU’s standing as Idaho’s leader in health sciences education and in improving health outcomes for residents in all parts of the state.
  • Develop and implement KDHS clinics marketing strategic plan - prioritize planning and implementation, development and tracking of program success metrics.
  • Develop and manage annual clinics marketing budgets, track expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Maintain and conduct current market research in target markets to inform marketing strategies.
  • Utilize social, digital, and traditional media to grow reach and engagement with targeted audiences, including executing internally driven marketing campaigns and working with an agency of record.
  • Employ analytics and follow-up research to determine which methods provide the most return for a limited marketing budget.
  • Evaluate markets and strategies through research, focus groups, and other methods to continually identify new opportunities to deliver key university messages to key audiences.
  • Develop and present reports that share research, campaign performance, and tactic effectiveness.
  • Work with team members to capture photographs and/or videos for print and electronic media ad campaigns.
  • Using University design tools and templates, develop marketing assets and materials to promote KDHS clinics and increase patient visits to each clinic.
  • Work with team members to ensure all clinic promotional items and ad campaigns adhere to University brand guidelines.
  • Support the KDHS marketing and communications team in promoting large events related to health clinics and pharmacies, such as the ISU Health Fair, Geriatric Symposium, grand openings, and dedications.
  • Occasional weekend or evening hours will be required to support KDHS events relevant to marketing.
  • KDHS has clinics based in Pocatello and Meridian and travel between both campuses will be required. The position could be based in Meridian or Pocatello.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a minimum six years combined education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Two (2) years experience developing and implementing marketing campaigns informed by market research for a variety of target audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently on complex projects in high throughput, timeline-focused work environments, often with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in copywriting for ad campaigns.

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in business, marketing or relevant field.
  • Professional experience working in a health system setting.
  • Experience with producing and editing photo and video content.
  • Experience with graphic design and photo editing.

Additional Information

Salary will be between $53,000 and $60,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
