Purpose:

The Business Support Specialist provides end-to-end commercial back‑office and operational support for the Vision Surgery MEA business. This role owns distributor onboarding and lifecycle activities, manages HCC (Health Care Compliance) submissions and post‑HCC documentation, operates PO and vendor processes, maintains the commercial collateral library, and establishes the operating rhythm and governance for the Vision Surgery MEA region. The role works closely with Commercial, Marketing, PED, Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure compliant, efficient delivery of distributor‑related documentation and operational programs.

You will be responsible for:

Commercial back‑office operations:

  • Manage end‑to‑end distributor lifecycle: onboarding, contract renewals, amendments, and terminations.

  • Maintain a centralized commercial collateral library; ensure all collateral is copy‑approved, up‑to‑date and accessible to stakeholders.

  • Provide timely distributor‑related documentation and support to the commercial organization.

HCC / compliance

  • Oversee end‑to‑end execution of HCC submissions and approvals for Vision Surgery activities.

  • Raise and close HCC requests in line with HCC guidelines and SOPs.

  • Ensure all professional education (ProfEd) activities and related initiatives meet organizational policies and full HCC compliance.

  • Manage post‑HCC activity documentation and archiving.

Procurement & vendor management:

  • Compliantly raise and close purchase orders (POs).

  • Manage new vendor creation, vendor extensions and regular vendor governance tasks.

  • Act as a point of contact for vendor and procurement inquiries related to Vision Surgery.

Programs, processes & governance:

  • Set up and maintain the operating rhythm, governance, and meeting cadence for Vision Surgery MEA.

  • Manage and deliver the annual samples process (planning, approvals, distribution tracking and reconciliation).

  • Measure, analyze and report on process metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Cross‑functional collaboration:

  • Work in close cooperation with Commercial, Marketing, PED, Compliance, Legal, Finance and Medical/Regulatory teams to align processes and resolve operational issues.

  • Maintain a “one‑stop shop” for key portfolios (internal presentations, external presentations, marketing tools) and ensure document version control.

Other:

  • Deliver additional tasks and projects as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Education:

  • BA/BS required (Business, Marketing or similar)

  • Fluent English and Arabic written & Spoken. Additional regional language(s) (e.g., Turkish, German , French ) desirable.

Required Experience :

  • 2+ years in similar position (Marketing specialist/ project coordinator)

  • At least 2 years of working practice (medical field preferred)

  • Demonstrable experience with HCC/ethics processes, PO/procurement workflows ,vendor management and analytics desirable

  • Strong stakeholder management experience across sales, supply chain and finance functions.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Customer orientation

  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfortable using CRM/ERP or compliance management systems.
