BSS / CBS Support Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled BSS / CBS Support Engineer to join a telecom delivery team supporting Convergent Billing System (CBS), Business Enabling System (BES), and Mobile Money platforms. The successful candidate will ensure high availability, system stability, and operational excellence for telecom operator customers. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong troubleshooting capabilities, hands-on system configuration experience, and the ability to manage production environments, including night change operations.
Responsibilities

Provide L2/L3 technical support for CBS, BES, and Mobile Money systems

Perform system configuration across BES modules, UPC, Number Analysis, Invoice, DC, UVC, and related components

Analyze logs, capture system traces, and troubleshoot production faults

Conduct incident, change, and problem management activities following ITIL best practices

Execute night change operations, system upgrades, and patch deployments

Perform database operations, query execution, and data validation

Compile CRL files and develop shell scripts for automation and troubleshooting

Prepare and execute test cases, support UAT, and produce test reports

Deliver technical training to local customer teams

Maintain daily communication and reporting with customer stakeholders
Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in telecom BSS, CBS, BES, or Mobile Money environments

Hands-on experience in charging and billing platforms

Strong understanding of prepaid/postpaid charging architecture

Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident & Change Management)

Experience working in Linux/Unix environments

Knowledge of SQL and database structures (Oracle/MySQL preferred)

Experience in log analysis and fault localization

Strong English communication skills

Willingness to work night shifts for change activities
Preferred Skills

ITIL Foundation certification
