Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst works closely with information technology professionals and business users to identify and solve organizational problems by redesigning and injecting technology into business processes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create solutions that support business strategies.
  • Acts as a liaison between IT professionals and business users.
  • Document system requirements.
  • Facilitate review of system requirements with cross-functional team members.
  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
  • Hold test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
  • Execute test cases and report test results.
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • BS or BA degree or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years of requirements gathering and system testing experience
  • Experience with vendor system integration through API endpoints
  • Experience with XML data mapping
  • Experience with workflow or process efficiency improvements
  • Knowledge of mortgage banking business processes preferred
  • Experience in agile development process

  • Detail oriented with the ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet established deadlines
  • Strong analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • Experience working and communicating with business stakeholders to understand requirements and turn into action
  • Proficient computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
