Business Systems Lead

Haugland Group, a privately owned Long Island, New York-based civil infrastructure and energy construction company, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Business Systems Lead to join our team.

Key Functions:


  • Owning the full lifecycle from discovery through go-live and stabilization.
  • Lead small to mid‑sized enterprise system initiatives serving as the connector between business teams, functional SMEs, and technical resources.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, map current and future workflows, and translate needs into clear requirements and user stories.
  • Prioritize backlogs, validate configurations, and ensure alignment with SOPs, compliance requirements, and operational standards.
  • Build and execute adoption and change‑management plans including stakeholder mapping, communications, training, and readiness.
  • Manage project timelines, scope, risks, RAID logs, vendor coordination, and cutover/go‑live activities.
  • Oversee SIT/UAT planning, KPI definition, reporting readiness, and analytics validation.
  • Produce and maintain SOPs, job aids, release notes, and change summaries.
  • Handing off to functional SMEs/champions post‑launch.
  • Measure post‑launch value, track adoption and operational outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.


Desired Qualifications


  • 5+ years across business analysis, project delivery, and/or change management.
  • Proven ability to run end‑to‑end projects with strong facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as ERP, finance, project management, timekeeping, document control, or BI/reporting tools.
  • Strong communication skills with both leadership and field teams.
  • Construction industry software (Procore, Miter, Sage Intacct, etc.) experience preferred.

Compensation range for this role is $140-185k.
