High school diploma or GED with some college coursework in accounting or related field preferred; one to three years of experience in local governmental taxation; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; PC experience required. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
Responsibilities include screening, auditing, and processing business license applications and business personal property filings; determining proper business license classifications; maintaining records for business license and business personal property accounts; maintaining correspondence and billing files, data entry of business license and business personal property accounts. Perform other work as required.
This position is a part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) and offers career progression opportunities and salary incentives, as funding permits, based on performance, qualifications, and experience.
Monday - Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
