We are currently seeking an experienced Business Unit Manager to join our team and lead the operational strategies across our diverse business units.

Position Overview:

People First Care Centre is seeking an experienced and dedicated Business Unit Manager to oversee the efficient and effective operations of our day-to-day business activities. You will play a crucial role in driving performance, productivity, and compliance across our multiple organisations. You will work closely with leadership and support teams to ensure the smooth running of operations, foster a collaborative culture, and implement process improvements that enhance the quality of services we provide to our consumers and participants.

As the Business Unit Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategic plans, managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building strong relationships with clients, their families, and key stakeholders. Your leadership will help to cultivate a high-performing, inclusive, and values-driven workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans that align with the organisation’s goals and vision. Identify growth opportunities and ensure outcomes are delivered on time.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations, including staffing, scheduling, client assessments, care plan development, and service delivery.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a collaborative team. Foster a culture of trust, accountability, and professional development.
  • Client and Family Engagement: Ensure individualised care plans are implemented, meeting the unique needs of clients and their families. Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, financial forecasts, and resource allocation, ensuring the financial health of the division.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance programs and ensure compliance with industry standards. Continuously monitor performance metrics to drive improvements.
  • Community Engagement: Represent the company in the community and collaborate with healthcare providers and local authorities to enhance service delivery.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operational management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and team management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
  • Financial management experience, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement.
