Job Summary:
The Logistics Officer at Ajil Logistics plays a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing logistics and delivery operations across B2B and B2C clients. The role ensures smooth daily dispatch, vehicle and rider allocation, route optimization, and coordination with clients, warehouses, and drivers to maintain on-time performance and service quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management
- Coordinate daily logistics operations for cars, bikes, and vans across multiple client accounts (e.g., Keeta, Ninja, Carrefour, Lulu, etc.).
- Plan and optimize routes, monitor delivery progress, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Supervise dispatch operations and maintain shift rosters for drivers and riders.
- Track KPIs including acceptance rate, on-time rate, and order completion rate.
2. Fleet & Resource Coordination
- Manage vehicle assignment, fuel consumption tracking, and maintenance schedules.
- Maintain records of company assets such as bikes, cars, SIM cards, and uniforms.
- Support onboarding of new riders/drivers, including document verification and induction.
3. Client & Vendor Coordination
- Serve as the communication bridge between clients and internal teams for daily logistics requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and partners for vehicle rentals, fuel cards, insurance, and renewals.
- Handle client feedback and resolve operational issues in real time.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics performance reports.
- Maintain accurate data on delivery performance, vehicle utilization, and expenses.
- Support finance and admin departments with trip sheets, fuel reports, and attendance logs.
5. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all drivers and riders comply with Qatar traffic regulations and company safety standards.
- Monitor QID, license, and vehicle registration renewals.
- Enforce adherence to company SOPs and disciplinary policies.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of logistics and fleet management.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, dispatch systems, and GPS tracking software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (Arabic or Hindi is a plus).
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to work under pressure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in logistics operations (delivery, transportation, or last-mile preferred).
- Experience working in Qatar or GCC logistics sector preferred.
- Valid Qatar driving license is an advantage.
