Business/Commercial Litigation Attorney (5+ Years)

We are looking for an experienced senior attorney to help clients achieve favorable outcomes with legal matters. You will advocate for clients, advise them on the best course of action, and implement their legal support plan. You should have previous trial experience, be able to manage a heavy caseload, and use your general counsel experience and interpersonal skills to mentor our lower-level associates to ensure a continued legacy of prosperity. $155,000 - $165,000 base +bonus

• Prepare for and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration hearings
• Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable laws
• Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
• Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts
• Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings

• Lead litigation strategy for partnership/shareholder disputes, derivative claims, and other commercial litigation issues such as breach of contract claims.
• Handle TRO and TI hearings, including emergency filings, expedited discovery, evidentiary hearings, and enforcement actions.
• Manage all aspects of case development: pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Advise business clients on dispute-prevention strategies, corporate governance, and settlement structuring.
• Supervise junior attorneys, paralegals, and staff on case tasks.

• 5 years of required experience as a senior associate in the legal field
• Admitted to local and state bar associations
• Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills are required, as well as persuasive writing and verbal communication skills

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• 7+ years of litigation experience, with a significant focus on partnership/shareholder disputes, fiduciary duty, business divorce, and emergency injunctive relief (TRO/TI hearings).
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas (or willing to waive in).
• First-chair trial, injunction hearing, or arbitration experience strongly preferred.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong business acumen and ability to advise clients on both legal and financial aspects of disputes.
