Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Butcher to join our Japanese grill restaurant. The ideal candidate has strong butchery skills and a passion for quality meat preparation. While prior restaurant experience is preferred, it is not required—we welcome candidates with solid butchery backgrounds who are eager to work in a restaurant setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cut, trim, portion, and prepare meats according to restaurant standards
  • Ensure freshness, quality, and proper storage of all meat products
  • Support chefs and kitchen staff with daily prep and service needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
  • Assist with inventory control and minimize waste
  • Prepare specialty cuts suitable for Japanese grill cuisine (training provided if needed)

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a butcher or meat cutter
  • Strong knowledge of beef, poultry, pork, and other proteins
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with butchery equipment
  • Understanding of food safety and proper meat handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
