Fish Cutter / Fish Butcher
Job Summary
A Fish Cutter & Butcher is responsible for cleaning, cutting, filleting, deboning, preparing, and packaging fish and seafood products according to company standards and customer requirements. The role requires knowledge of seafood handling, knife skills, hygiene standards, and safe food preparation practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store fresh fish and seafood properly.
- Clean, scale, gut, fillet, debone, and portion fish accurately.
- Prepare seafood products for display, packaging, or customer orders.
- Operate knives, cutting tools, weighing scales, and processing equipment safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor product freshness and remove spoiled or damaged items.
- Label, pack, and arrange seafood products for sale or distribution.
- Assist customers with seafood selection and cutting requirements when needed.
- Follow company safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
- Maintain inventory and report stock shortages or quality issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in fish cutting, filleting, or seafood processing preferred.
- Strong knife-handling and butchering skills.
- Knowledge of seafood types and cutting techniques.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in cold and wet environments.
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and lift heavy items.
- Attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately.
- Basic communication and teamwork skills.
Pay: QAR1,300.00 - QAR1,400.00 per hour
