Butcher/Fish Monger

Job Summary

The Butcher is responsible for cutting, trimming, deboning, and preparing meat products according to company standards, ensuring quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cut, trim, debone, and portion meat (beef, mutton, chicken, etc.) as per customer or company requirements
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of meat products
  • Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards in the work area as per food safety regulations
  • Monitor meat quality and report any spoilage or inconsistencies
  • Assist in receiving and inspecting meat deliveries
  • Maintain proper stock rotation (FIFO system)
  • Ensure correct weighing, packaging, and labeling of products
  • Maintain and clean cutting tools, equipment, and workstation daily
  • Follow health and safety guidelines strictly
  • Support customer requests for custom cuts when required

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a butcher or in meat cutting (preferred)
  • Knowledge of different meat cuts and preparation techniques
  • Understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
  • Ability to handle knives and cutting equipment safely
  • Physically fit to handle long hours and heavy lifting
  • Basic communication skills

Pay: QAR1,800.00 - QAR2,600.00 per month
