Butchery Team Leader

JOB TITLE

Butchery Supervisor | MAF Retail | Hypermarket Oman

Role Summary

The Butchery Supervisor is responsible for implementing quality, range and freshness standards to facilitate an exceptional customer experience in order to achieve set sales targets. The team Leader is key a motivator ensuring all team members are working optimally, and that any problems are addressed immediately so that they do not impact customer service. Coaching and development is a critical responsibility to deliver an exceptional customer service within assigned section.

ROLE PROFILE

• Supervise daily butchery operations, ensuring product quality, freshness, and availability at all times.
• Manage stock levels, place replenishment orders, and monitor deliveries to maintain optimal inventory.
• Control waste, shrinkage, and stock losses through proper handling, storage, and rotation practices.
• Ensure accurate pricing, promotional execution, and attractive product displays in line with store standards.
• Monitor slow-moving products and implement actions to maximize sales before expiration.
• Enforce food safety, hygiene, health, and security standards within the butchery section.
• Lead, train, and monitor team performance to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets.
• Analyze section performance, customer feedback, and operational reports to drive continuous improvement.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a butchery, meat processing, or retail food environment.
• Strong knowledge of meat cuts, product handling, storage standards, and food safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills.
• Arabic speaker is a must.
