Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in sourcing and purchasing materials and managing supplier relationships to ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain. This position requires a strong understanding of procurement management, supply chain dynamics, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals.
• Conduct sourcing activities to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS for purchasing and materials management.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production planning to meet manufacturing needs.
• Perform root cause analysis for supply chain issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and other relevant guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, quality management, and category management to optimize procurement processes.

Experience

• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a construction environment.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
• Familiarity with MRP systems and materials management practices.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of logistics, pricing strategies, and quality management principles.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
