ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the day-to-day tactical purchasing activities to support the entire manufacturing facility.

Responsible for maintaining and issuing purchase orders to suppliers.

Responsible for receiving and updating order acknowledgments

Responsible for monitoring supplier and subcontractor delivery to meet the facilities needs and escalate supplier issues when appropriate.

Responsible for expeditions with suppliers when appropriate

Responsible for managing raw material inventory levels to support production, while minimizing total inventory dollars on hand.

Leads weekly raw material inventory reviews with the site leadership and corporate

Responsible for providing forecasts to suppliers when appropriate

Responsible for maintaining the facilities approved supplier list and vendor master that aligns with corporate approved suppliers.

Assist with supplier RFQ’s

Responsible for the credit app/tax form process of onboarding new suppliers.

Assist in reconciling invoicing issues.

Responsible for maintaining supplier pricing files in the ERP system.

Supports corporate mandated supplier changes

Other purchasing related tasks as assigned
EDUCATION
-
High school diploma required
-
2-year degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment

- Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and an advocate for change. Exposure to lean manufacturing principles is a plus.

- Intermediate to advanced level proficiency MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
