Job Description


As a Buyer with Westgate Resorts, you’ll play a key role in keeping our resorts running smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing a broad range of products and services; including food and beverage items, operating supplies, equipment, and general services, while ensuring top-tier quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery for all properties.

This role is perfect for a detail-driven professional who enjoys vendor partnerships, strategic negotiations, and contributing to operational excellence. Your work will directly support the guest experience and the success of our hospitality operations across the company.

What You'll Do as a Buyer:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors while building strong, long-term partnerships
  • Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and terms to secure the best value for the company
  • Implement procurement strategies that support cost savings, operational efficiency, and quality standards
  • Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently, resolving any related invoicing issues
  • Collaborate with department leaders to forecast demand, monitor inventory, and prevent stockouts or overstocking
  • Confirm delivery of goods and services in accordance with purchase orders or contracts prior to invoice payment
  • Ensure all purchased items meet required quality specifications, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines (including food safety)
  • Monitor and document supplier performance as part of the Supplier Rating Program
  • Stay informed on market trends, product innovations, and supply chain conditions to advise on purchasing decisions
  • Track purchasing metrics, analyze expenditures, report on cost savings, and assist in developing annual purchasing budgets
  • Maintain accurate documentation of purchase files, contracts, and agreements

Qualifications


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

What You’ll Bring:

Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, ideally within hospitality, hotel operations, food and beverage, retail, or a related industry

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement/P2P software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of supply chain management principles and purchasing procedures
  • Oracle experience is a plus

Schedule


  • 20% travel may be required
  • Hybrid work schedule
