Location: Beaverton, OR (Onsite – WHQ)
Duration: 6 Months (Sep 2025 – Mar 2026)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (with WFH Fridays)


About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Buyer with strong retail acumen and consumer insight to join the team. The Buyer will play a key role in creating consumer-right assortments, driving seasonal strategies, and delivering impactful in-store experiences. The role requires both strategic thinking and in-season agility, balancing data-driven analysis with market intuition.


Responsibilities

  • Own the seasonal assortment strategy for the Nike Direct Inline Store business.
  • Use historical data, analytics, and real-time market feedback to curate assortments.
  • Lead and mentor individual contributors, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, Visual Merchandising, Store Ops, and Marketing to align strategies.
  • Participate in seasonal buy reviews and in-season trading to optimize performance.
  • Understand trends, consumer needs, and marketplace dynamics to influence business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor//'s degree preferred (or additional 2 years//' experience in lieu).
  • 5+ years//' experience in buying, merchandising, or product creation within retail (footwear, apparel, or consumer goods).
  • Strong understanding of retail and digital profit metrics (sell-through, turn, ASP, UPT, etc.).
  • Prior retail store experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities across seasons in a fast-paced retail environment.
