Buyer (Aerospace Manuacturing)

Collins Custom Manufacturing is a AS9100D aersopace manufacturing company located in Southwest Fort Worth, TX.

Purchasing Manager Requirements:

· Coordinating operations between shipping, receiving, and purchasing of raw material.

· Experience in a manufacutirng setting and purchasing raw material is required.

· Ordering any and all needed supplies and raw material necessary for running jobs and maintaining a fabrication/machine shop.

· Maintains positive supplier and internal customer relationships by adhering to high standards of business ethics and fair dealing.

· Participate in the development and execution of purchasing strategies.

· Assess, manage and mitigate risks

· Requests quotations and secures bids for raw materials and supplies.

· Follow up on open orders and expedite as necessary with professionalism.

· Ensure timely delivery and completion of requisitioned goods and services

· Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

· Manage procurement projects and agreements

· Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management

· Experience in the Aerospace Industry a plus

· Advanced computer skills

· Self-motivated, team player

· Strong organizational skills

· Solid judgment and decision-making skills

· Strong communication skills – able to communicate written and verbally with all levels of personnel.

· Ability to multitask and reprioritize responsibilities while working in a fast-paced environment.

· Steel industry purchasing experience, extensive knowledge of sheet metal and other raw material involved in manufacturing

· Minimum of 2 years as a purchasing agent in the steel & aluminum industry

· Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
