Role Summar
Passion and Commitment to deliver impeccable décor products to offline and online customers, which
can have maximized impact on sales and brand reputation.

Summary Of Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and design new décor products that are pertinent to Home Category
  • Be aware of the trends prevailing in the market
  • Timely and efficient implementation of buying and seasonal calendar
  • Ensure on time orders and re-orders
  • Ensure timely implementation of the planograms
  • Track sales performance
  • Regularly collect and analyze product feedback
  • Manage relationships with vendors and internal teams
Key Job Responsibilities
Product Development
  • Conduct comprehensive market trend research by attending industry fairs, analyzing market
competition, and leveraging online resources
  • Analyze sales data to identify high sellers, conduct online research on trending patterns and
colors, and develop commercially viable designs and products
  • Drive new product development through strategic vendor rationalization
  • Aware of latest design and material trends and use optimally across the category.
  • Prepare primary and final samples before going for mass production.
Product Planning
  • Align with the plan and drive the sales, margin, and inventory for the category
  • Prepare range for season based on the previous business performance.
  • Define stock density at stores and warehouses and optimize the stock levels.
  • Initiate buying as per OTB and ensure timely delivery and availability.
  • Manage the season launches as per the business calendar and seasonality.
  • Ensure on time orders, re-orders are aligned to the financial norms.
  • Manage end to end process of product PO, confirmations, inspections, shipments, and deliveries
  • Monitor the ageing of stock with reference to overall stock holding as per defined norms
  • Analyze and make recommendations for space planning to ensure the SPF and MPF for the department
is in line with concept performance
Category Management
  • Ensure timely implementation of the planograms/ product program.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and visual merchandising teams to ensure strong visual and
marketing communications are followed
  • Connect with multiple stakeholders like - Supply Chain, Retail , Training, etc.. To ensure end to
end cycle of category management.
  • Coordinate with the design team and vendors for the right packaging of the product.
  • Delivery and support exclusive e-com and online launches.
  • Track sales performance for category, collect and analyze sales data to make relevant business
decisions.
  • Make store visits & collect the retail feedback during store visits.
  • Conduct periodic surveys to understand customer behavior, competition mapping and arrive at
strategy pricing.
  • Work closely with Planning and MC, VM, Designer, Graphic designer to translate category goals
on the floor and for adequate stock availability on the floor
Relationship management
  • Build strong vendor bases relevant to product category
  • Manage internal & external relationships for smoother business activity.
