Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Negotiation Excellence & Supplier Relationship Management
  • Exhibit strong negotiation acumen to secure favourable commercial terms.
  • Cultivate long-term, trust-based supplier relationships to support strategic partnerships.
Costing & Product Cost Analysis
  • Develop precise cost estimates using standardized templates and advanced costing methodologies tailored to proprietary engine parts (Plastic & Rubber commodity)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve cost structures.
Supplier Scouting & Industry Mapping
  • Lead comprehensive scouting initiatives to identify and evaluate potential suppliers for critical components.
  • Conduct in-depth industry mapping to benchmark leading players, emerging technologies, and evolving supply trends.
Supplier Selection & Commercial Negotiation
  • Drive supplier identification and qualification aligned with technical specifications and strategic sourcing goals.
  • Lead end-to-end price negotiations, ensuring commercially viable outcomes within budgetary frameworks and quality expectations.
Cost Optimization & Value Engineering
  • Identify and implement innovative cost reduction strategies during sourcing and negotiation phases.
  • Deliver measurable savings while safeguarding product integrity, delivery timelines, and compliance standards.
Financial Analysis & Risk Assessment
  • Analyze supplier financials, including balance sheets and liquidity indicators, to inform negotiation strategy and risk mitigation.
  • Proactively assess supplier viability and exposure to ensure continuity and resilience across the supply chain.
Price Containment & Purchasing Spend Control
  • Deploy structured price containment mechanisms to manage cost escalations coming from suppliers and ensure alignment with overall purchasing spend targets.
Process Compliance & Ethical Governance
  • Uphold rigorous adherence to sourcing processes, documentation standards, and high-order ethical conduct across all supplier engagements.
Benchmarking & Market Intelligence
  • Conduct regular benchmarking of technologies, pricing models, and supplier capabilities to maintain competitive advantage.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Actively engage with cross-functional teams (CFTs), including engineering, quality and logistics, to drive sourcing decisions and project success.
