POSITION OVERVIEW

The Food & Beverage Buyer is responsible for managing and supporting all procurement activities related to food & beverage operations across the property. This role ensures timely, cost effective, and high-quality sourcing that aligns with the brand’s luxury standards and operational needs..

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance to contract terms, product availability, quality, and service level expectations
  • Resolve delivery discrepancies, variances, EDI errors, and oversee return processes with vendors
  • Report all product breakages and reoccurring discrepancies to management, identifying patterns and recommending solutions
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of supplier information, purchase history, and related documentation
  • Collaborate with department leaders to conduct periodic inventory audits and ensure stock integrity
  • Adapt to evolving business needs through temporary or permanent changes in duties and responsibilities
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in Purchasing and Sourcing roles, with an emphasis on F&B preferred
  • Prior experience working in a luxury property preferred
  • Working knowledge and experience of a Financial and Procurement system(s); Stratton Warren, Redrock, Infor, COUPA, BirchStreet, Oracle, Ariba
  • Strong practical experience and knowledge of procurement and supply chain operations within the Hospitality/Casino industry
  • Ability to communicate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Must communicate effectively and openly with superiors, subordinates, and external constituencies
  • Must possess sound business judgment, a high degree of personal motivation, and a very strong work ethic
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability in maintaining consistent, high-quality service levels
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and high-pressure environment

This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

SALARY

$60000 per year - $70000 per year
