Buyer - Fruits & Vegetables

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably Masters in Supply Chain /Agriculture or related field.
• Must have 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in Fruits & Vegetables sourcing or fresh produce procurement preferably in retail or wholesale sector.
• Candidates should also possess strong knowledge in quality standards of fresh produce.

Responsibilities:-

• Source fresh fruits and vegetables directly from Mandi suppliers
• Ensure product quality, freshness, and timely dispatch to stores.
• Negotiate daily prices and purchase terms to achieve optimal cost and margins.•
• Monitor market trends, demand fluctuations, and seasonal availability.•
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, growers, and logistics partners.•
• Coordinate with supply chain and store operations to maintain stock availability and minimize wastage.
• Prepare daily purchase reports, price comparisons, and market intelligence updates.•Support the Category Manager in planning, budgeting, and pricing strategies.
