This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Responsibilities:
This role is part of Blue Origin's Global Supply Chain organization. As a Facilities and Services Buyer, you will oversee enterprise agreements, engage with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, quality, service, and terms while reducing costs and minimizing risk.
You will negotiate and manage contract terms with suppliers. Collaboration with the legal department will be essential to achieve the best possible contract results, meet compliance standards, and support organizational strategies and initiatives.
The successful candidate will have experience preparing and issuing Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Quote (RFQs), Long-term agreements (LTAs), conducting price analyses in support of supplier proposals, and leading formal negotiations of all types. You will complete day-to-day tactical purchasing functions, take ownership of the procurement process from requisition creation through final payment of invoices, and be accountable for resolving issues within this process.
You will also ensure professional and consistent supplier management, cultivating relationship across the supply base in alignment with internal policies.
Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years of experience in procurement/purchasing, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Procurement

Experience in sourcing and evaluating potential suppliers
-
Strong ability to engage with different internal and senior stakeholders and work effectively with multiple functional teams

Essential skills include an analytical approach, excellent negotiation abilities, strong communication skills, and comfort operating at all hierarchy levels

Independent and entrepreneurial work style; experience in a hyper-growth company or comparable environment is desirable

Ability to interpret and apply company policies, procedures, work instructions, business standards, and U.S. government regulations (i.e., FAR, DFAR compliance)

Strong analytical skills, data-driven mindset with experience establishing and tracking program metrics

Ability to perform written price reasonableness determinations and price analyses using various pricing methods and data sources

Ability to develop negotiation plans and serve as lead negotiator in all types of negotiations, including pricing, terms and conditions, FAR/customer contract flow downs, schedule, and scope of work

Working understanding of AS9100 quality management system requirements

Track record of effectively working with large, single/sole source suppliers

Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload
