About The Role

Product Selection & Assortment Planning: Identify and source products aligned with market trends and consumer demands, ensuring a balanced and competitive product mix.

Inventory & Sales Management: Monitor stock levels, sales trends, and turnover rates to ensure optimal inventory levels, reduce excess stock, and avoid shortages in alignment with core KPIs.

Cost & Margin Optimization: Analyze cost structures and margins to ensure profitability, negotiating for the best pricing and terms without compromising quality

Forecasting & Planning: Collaborate with planning and commercial teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and seasonal plans based on historical data and trend analysis.

Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and adjust buying strategies accordingly.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, visual merchandising, and retail teams to ensure successful product launches and promotions.

Reporting & Analysis: Prepare reports on product performance, weekly operations reviews, and category reviews and monthly functional alignment to support strategic decision-making.
Key Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Marketing and Merchandising or related field.

2-4 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or category management.

Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Proficiency in Excel and inventory management systems (e.g. SAP or similar).

Excellent communication abilities.

Strong understanding of retail math and KPIs (e.g., sell-through, gross margin, turns)
